Fayetteville Area Law Enforcement Team Up to Improve Towing Services

    Houston, TX (April 8, 2008) – HOUSTON, TX – Complied Logic Corporation (C:LOGIC), a leading provider of Towing Lifecycle Management solutions , today announced the City of Fayetteville as the latest community to adopt C:LOGIC’s Vehicle Information-sharing and Notification Service (VINS)  The Fayetteville Police Department will also participate in North Carolina Towed Vehicle Locator Initiative aimed at providing better, more efficient customer service to assist citizen’s and soldiers when their vehicles are towed.
  • VINS delivers a comprehensive, Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that streamlines dispatching and towing operations and enables electronic information collaboration among area Law Enforcement, the Towing and Storage Industry and the general public.
  • VINS-enabled communication between the FPD, CCSO and the rotation contract towing lots will allow eliminate erroneous stolen vehicle reports, simplify procedures for holding and releasing vehicles and provide a single website where citizens can type in their plate number and find their towed vehicle across the Cumberland County. VINS electronic tracking will eventually be expanded to track private property towing, vehicle repossession and all non-consent towing done within the county.

  • The Towed Vehicle Locator Initiative connects the dots and enables disparate law enforcement agencies to easily locate vehicles that have been towed in neighboring jurisdictions, dramatically lowering the number of erroneous stolen vehicle reports, as well as the time required to locate a missing vehicle.
