Compiled Logic To Discuss Recent Trends In The Management Of Non-Consent Towing At The 2008 Western States Tow Show

  • Smith to Address Current Municipal and Law Enforcement Change and Their Affect on the Towing and Storage Industry Operations

  • FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Houston, TX (May 12, 2007) – HOUSTON, TX – Compiled Logic (C:LOGIC), a leading provider of Towing Lifecycle Management solutions, today announced that Ron Smith, Vice President of Marketing, will be a featured speaker at the 2008 Western States Tow Show.

Mr. Smith will discuss the 2008 municipal trends and ordinance changes in the management and reporting of non-consent towing. C:LOGIC will also be exhibiting at the Western States Tow Show at the Silver Legacy Resort & Casino & Reno Events Center in booth #536.

Continuing a trend started in 2007, cities and counties across the country are poised to rewrite ordinances covering non-consent towing including capping towing fees and requiring reporting of private property tows. These changes, coupled with the implementation of more robust municipal IT infrastructures, have led to major changes in law enforcement’s management and oversight of the towing industry. In just the last 6 months, Houston, San Diego, Baltimore County and Detroit have released Request for Proposals (RFPs) that create new towing management systems or outsource all non-consent towing operations.

From this session, towing and storage lot owners will understand the legal and municipal operational changes and how they will affect their business in 2008. From the mandatory reporting of private property impounds to the creation of citizen search portals, Mr. Smith will discuss methods necessary for the industry to continue profitable and compliant operations. Real-world examples from recent municipal RFPs and ordinance changes will be presented to illustrate and reinforce the effects on the industry.
